INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
LifeTech ITS Academy is a “not-for-profit” legal entity, in which Universities and Research Centers, Training Institutions
, Schools, Businesses and Local Authorities participate, operating in the field of New Life Technologies. Pursuant to
of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”), this information notice describes how
personal data of individuals who have relations with LifeTech ITS Academy are processed.
DATA CONTROLLER
The Data Controller is LifeTech ITS Academy, SS 14 km 163.5 Basovizza – 34149 Trieste (Italy), e-mail:
info@itsvolta.it, in the person of the legal representative.
Due to the type of activity carried out and its size, LifeTech ITS Academy is not obliged to appoint a
Data Protection Officer (DPO) under Art. 37 of the GDPR. However, the institution ensures the
highest level of care in the processing of personal data, using
technical and legal advice where necessary.
LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING
Personal data are processed by LifeTech ITS Academy in the performance of its tasks of public interest
and for institutional purposes, mainly in the field of continuing education.
In some cases, the activity of LifeTech ITS Academy is carried out as a contracting station in procedures with
public evidence governed by the legislation on public procurement, using computer tools
in accordance with DPCM No. 148/21 and its implementing acts.
TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING
The data processed are mainly common data (identifiers, e-mails, telephone numbers), data of
patrimonial, legal nature and technical data derived from the use of IT tools (e.g. IP addresses, cookies,
eIDAS data).
The processing of special categories of data (e.g., health, judicial) is limited to the cases provided for by the legislation,
such as the verification of the honorability requirements of contractors.
All data collected may be processed for the defense of the rights of LifeTech ITS Academy or third parties in case of
legal necessity.
RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA
Personal data may be disclosed to:
– Public and private entities for legal obligations;
– Social security and insurance institutions;
– Credit institutions and debt collection companies;
– Companies providing IT services and technical assistance;
– Auditing and certification bodies;
– Professionals in the legal, tax, accounting and IT fields;
– Judicial and supervisory authorities.
LifeTech ITS Academy uses the telematics platform for procurement of the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia
Giulia, in compliance with current legislation on the protection of personal data.
PERIOD OF DATA Retention
Personal data are retained for as long as strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected:
– Procurement data: retained until the time limit for any appeals and in any case
for 10 years;
– Data of contract awardees: retained for the contract duration and thereafter for
legal obligations and prescription;
– Other data: retained according to the applicable legal criteria.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECT
Data subjects may exercise the following rights under the EU Regulation:
– Access to personal data;
– Rectification or erasure;
– Restriction of processing;
– Objection to processing;
– Data portability (Articles 15-22 GDPR).

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
Data subjects who believe that their personal data is being processed in violation of
EU Regulation 2016/679 have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority
personal data, or to take appropriate legal action pursuant to Article 79 of the Regulation.
