Health IT Technician

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH IT SOLUTIONS

Engineering Technicians in this field are involved in feasibility analysis, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions in the medical and biotechnological fields. They ensure the proper management of information systems, the integration of hospital IT systems (such as electronic health records, PACS, RIS, LIS, etc.), and the administration of complex network infrastructures in both public and private organizations, nationally and internationally, within the Life Sciences and Emerging Technologies sector. The training program, aligned with "Industry 4.0" strategies, includes the acquisition of skills for the development of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) systems, as well as 3D programming in the biomedical sector to support clinical practice and maintenance management. It also promotes knowledge extraction through the support and development of IoHT (Internet of Health Things) platforms. Engineering technicians enhance and support good clinical practice, which is increasingly connected to ongoing technological advancements, and are ideally positioned to work within companies, hospitals, and research institutions in the fields of medical informatics and biotechnology.
